She Found It
It probably took the protagonist 10,000 words too many, and they will all be cut by my co-author (if he’s as smart as he usually is, anyway), but: she has now seen the clue that was the whole reason for this insanely divergent digression, and now the plot can begin moving forward again as planned.
Whew.
In other news: I have a cold, the Zombies hate my Callie book, *another* stimulus package grant got added to my pile today at work, someone asked if I could get them numbers over the weekend (the answer is NO), and I need curtains for this window now that a lightbulb has apparently been replaced just outside.
