After a quiet week of workity-work around here, tomorrow more guests arrive–we’re all booked up for the weekend. One of the bookings is friends of ours so that will be nice! Folks we haven’t seen in rather to long.
They’re bringing a dog and a CAT. (The inn is pet-friendly, and we’ve had tons of dogs through here this winter, but the owners tell us that this is only the second time since they’ve been running the inn that a cat will visit.) This is all good, of course, because I love cats. 🙂
Let’s see, what else? I have ice cream making down to an absolute science. The weather has been wintry but not awful. I taught Mark gin rummy and have been beating him soundly every evening (obviously I’m not a very good teacher).
Oh and there’s been the fun of assembling our wedding party, and calling people and asking them to be grooms-people and brides-people. (Not men and maids; rather…less traditional, as it happens.) (But of course it would be, wouldn’t it?) We’re a long ways from having the wedding all worked out, but every little bit of progress is good. Onward…
