My editorial experience includes reworking short stories for online and print publication, content and format editing for doctoral dissertations, rewriting marketing copy, cleaning up websites, and structural and line editing for many novels. I was a staff editor for Per Aspera Press (now an imprint of Ragnarok Press), with a focus on unusual fantasy works with strong, interesting characters. Being Small by Chaz Brenchley was my first Per Aspera release, soon followed by Waking Up Naked in Strange Places, by Julie McGalliard. I am also an editor for Evil Girlfriend Media; my first anthology, Witches, Stitches & Bitches, came out in September 2013. Nonfiction anthology The Usual Path to Publication was released by Book View Cafe in 2016.
“Shannon is one of my go-to proofreaders. She’s responsive, takes direction well, is professional, and turns projects around as quickly as I could possibly ask. I’d recommend her to anyone without reservation.”
–Yanni Kuznia, Director of Production, Subterranean Press
“Shannon is dedicated to helping authors craft the best possible work. She is easy to work with, professional, and appreciates deadlines. The anthology Witches, Stitches & Bitches has been compared to O. Henry. We could have not been more pleased with her performance.”
–Katie Cord, President, Evil Girlfriend Media
“Shannon’s proofreading for Centipede Press is accurate, with a fine attention to detail, usage, and other matters. She also highlights possible formatting concerns. Her turnaround time is excellent considering the amount of time and care she puts into the proofing. Her rates are very reasonable.”
–Jerad Walters, Publisher, Centipede Press
“I know a book is in good hands when I send it to Shannon. Whether she’s doing copy editing, proofreading, or more in-depth editorial work, the work comes back with an exceptionally professional polish. She is a shiny maker.”
–Mark Teppo, Publisher, Resurrection House
“…very perceptive and improving questions. Thanks for the close attention to the text!”
–Tim Powers, author
“I’ve worked with multiple copy editors, and Shannon is by far one of the most thorough editors I’ve worked with. I can’t imagine using anyone else.”
–Denise Grover Swank, New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author
“Good copyeditor… well done indeed!”
–Michael J. Martinez, author of The Daedalus Incident
“Shannon Page is my book’s angel! She has an eagle eye. 🙂 Thanks to her hard work, readers can just focus on the story rather than distracting typos or errors. Thank you Shannon.”
