Dinner with a Co-Author

Had a nice (and sort of impromptu) dinner tonight with doctodd and Mrs. doctodd, cooked by a mutual friend at the doctoddhouse. (Alas, I arrived after the baby doctodd had been put to bed, so I didn’t see her, except on the baby monitor.) It had been a while since we’d caught up; I was pleased to be able to tell doctodd that I’ll pass 50,000 words on Entangled, our joint novel, tomorrow (barring some sort of catastrophe: I’m at 49K and change now).

I was also able to tweak him a bit about the rather thin state of the outline, in the middle, where I currently am. But I do think I’ve been able to find my way through the worst of it, and I know where it’s going. At least for now. 🙂

Also…bought some nice curtains for this window, got a second writing project worked on, framed a few more pictures, and even spent some time on the couch reading. My cold hasn’t gone away, but it hasn’t gotten worse either. Fingers crossed, and sleep now.
