Springtime comes to Portland, however tentatively. It got me thinking about my life decisions, and how I got here. I love flowers, and I always thought I could have been a florist if things had gone a little differently. Nowadays if I need flowers I need to go to a florist and get them there. I try to keep a little garden for myself as a hobby, and I find it very fun and fulfilling. Not many people leave themselves alone with their thoughts very long, specially with cell phones. I think that if they did they would realize how therapeutic it can be.
I decided to take a few pictures for you guys. As the weather warms and things start to grow, I think I’ll post more. Stay tuned!

Blossoms on my Asian pear tree, so many florist love this type of flower. I hope this means lots of pears!

The tulips are coming, the tulips are coming…

It really does look nicer without that big old tree in the middle of the bed, doesn’t it? (and please to be ignoring the fallen petals everywhere….)

Busy day today. Real estate work; a bunch of editing on Nightcraft Mother (realizing ANOTHER important change the book needs…it would be depressing if it weren’t so much fun); and I even got to the gym for a swim, for the first time in like forever. And I don’t know how it got to be so late. Wasn’t it just 6pm?
