Progress: Small But Measurable

I inched forward another few pages in my edit of Hobgoblin today–after realizing that I’d done it again, I’d started this chapter too late. I had the interesting part happen off-stage and then showed the characters ruminating about it. Bad writer! No cookie!

So I fixed that. And then moved a little farther, till I found another scene where the interesting stuff is elided. Sigh.

Also, I washed the Miata, and then marveled at how fabulous that car looks when it’s clean and the sun is shining. Almost like brand new. I wonder how long that will last…a few days of pollen, then some overnight dew, and it’ll be a mess again. But it’s pretty now!

And that, plus laundry, plus freelance (yay freelance!), plus a real estate meeting and credit-hour (we learned about foreclosures), was pretty much my day.
