I finished my edit of The Queen and The Tower and sent it off to Brilliant Editor! At last!
Turned out it didn’t want an epilogue after all, just a longer and more detailed final chapter. Everything I tried to do for an epilogue was all wrong. Probably because the second book starts so soon after this one ends, and the crisis isn’t 100% over, and so it just didn’t fit that way.
Anyway! I am relieved. And now I have an entire day to get ready for the trip. :/
So I went out with T. and saw “7 Psychopaths,” which was just the right thing to do. Totally outrageous, totally funny.
And now I collapse, to sleep the sleep of the righteous, and the finishers of novels. 🙂
