Sociality

The regular work-week rhythm gets all topsy-turvy when you run an inn on a vacation getaway island, I’m realizing, now that the holidays are done (when everything was topsy-turvy all the time). We had a spate of delightful guests this weekend, including our friend B. who drove up from Portland (and brought our MAIL) (and took back a CARLOAD of stuff to our house when he left today!). We had a great time with him, including taking in the sights from the top of Mt. Constitution.

It was just a spectacular day. The islands seemed almost surreal.

The guys looked good too.

And now all the guests are gone, and we have five days of quiet (at least, that’s the plan) till a full house next weekend. I mean, “quiet” in the sense that we both have a ton of work to do. It’s supposed to rain soon, so that should help. 🙂 It’s hard to stay indoors when the outside looks like it does on a sunny day here.
