Oh, it’s back on.

My website and email were down for a good chunk of today…my email was actually bouncing messages back with a “user does not exist” message, which was pretty darn annoying, I have to say, as I use that email address for all my freelance work contacts (as well as everything else). When I finally got through to my web host company on the phone, they said yeah, they were doing some maintenance, it would be up in a couple of hours, if I wanted a refund on some of my fees due to the inconvenience, I could send an email to…

I said, “Send an email how, exactly, at the moment?” But the guy failed to see the irony there.

Anyway, other than that, it was a productive day. Fortunately, most of what I had to do today involved reading manuscripts that I’d already printed out, and I got to do so in the living room, where we had a nice toasty fire burning, because it’s JUST FREEZING here. Actually, it’s less than just freezing–it’s 27 at the moment. And it’s still been VERY windy.

Soon, I’ll have more to say about those manuscripts I was reading today, but a few of them are talked about here (and no, I don’t mean the ones I’m an author of!). It’s going to be a big year for Per Aspera. I’m excited!
