All The Cookies
We have always only ever been making cookies. Since the beginning of time, we have been softening butter, creaming it with sugar, measuring flour, shaping dough, baking, cooling, storing, starting another recipe…
Our annual tree-decorating party is tomorrow…that’s the excuse for the cookies.
(the REASON for the cookies, on the other hand: COOKIES!)

We made a batch of coconut-oat-gumdrop cookies, a HUGE batch of sugar cookies, and a medium-sized batch of gingerbread men. Those latter two will be frosted, tomorrow…for now, they’re all in these tins:
Hmm, it looks like more than that, in person. Well, that’s hundreds of cookies, trust me! 🙂
I know other things happened this week besides cookies, but honestly, that’s been pretty all-consuming. I did send Orcas Investigation off to my co-author, but I pretty much told you about that last week. I finished up a freelance job and another one came in. The weather has been very pretty and very cold: our pond has been frozen over for the last two days, and the ground is crispy. I look forward to delving back into writing next week, when all this Party and Cookie Business is behind us.
