Another 2,000 words today. Total: 9,000. Which, if I’m aiming for a 60K YA, is a lot! (note: at this pace it’s going to be WAY more than 60K.) I’ve realized that not every single word in the previous draft is utter junk, so maybe 400 of today’s words were adapted from a previously-written scene.

I’m outlining Hobgoblin anew, changing everything… It’s a fascinating process, actually–I think I’m going to start the story sooner, not just make the characters younger.
