Sometimes, as I’m editing this novel that I used to think was so good, I swear a crazy person wrote it. Had she ever even READ A BOOK before? Has she even HEARD of the concept of plot? I’m at the point where it all should be coming together, and it’s all like, Random insanity!

MOST GORGEOUS DAY EVAR I was barefoot! For hours!! And had the back door open!!! And put the top down on the Miata when I went out driving!!!! Yeah it’s been a long winter. But I wasn’t the only crazy person out there relishing the sun and warmth, oh no. Not by a long shot.

Springtime comes to Portland, however tentatively. It got me thinking about my life decisions, and how I got here. I love flowers, and I always thought I could have been a florist if things had gone a little differently. Nowadays if I need flowers I need to go to a florist and get them there.

So I am still pretty exhausted from the con. It probably didn’t help that I had to get up early and go to work today…but, such is life. I spent a good deal of time on my drive yesterday thinking about energy, and exhaustion, and cons, and the whole introvert/extrovert thing you hear so much

I am back in Portland, after driving all day today from my folks’ place in California…basically an 11 hour drive, give or take. I’d hoped to be home rather earlier, but I got a sort of late start, and then the drive-length was increased by Other People Having A Very Bad Day: a propane tanker

I’m having a marvelous time at FogCon–in fact rather too much marvelousness, such that I had to have a bit of a lie-down this afternoon to recover from excess marvelousness. 🙂 I will just say, Desperance is a bad influence.
