So, I keep a spreadsheet of what books I read during the year, but as it’s all part of a larger spreadsheet of all the books, by author, I never add them up till new year’s.
Last year I read 87 books. I was very impressed. On tallying-up day, I wrote:
Wow, 87 is a new record. To compare:
2011: 73
2010: 63
2009: 44
2008: 75
2007: ~50 (I wasn’t counting like I do now)
So today I tallied up. I read 110 books in 2013! (Plus magazines, plus the entire internet.) A lot of them were for work, which is marvelous. (Getting paid to read books FTW!) But an equally-lot of them weren’t.
