Novel In Process
Just a quick note this morning! Because I have to get back to my novel.
I’m doing NaNoWriMo–the National Novel Writing Month–and I got a late start because Reasons (the same Reasons why there wasn’t a note last week), but I hit 5,000 words yesterday, and I’m aiming to bring that total to 8,000 today.
I met our local ML (municipal liaison) at a write-in at the library yesterday. It’s a small island…we were the only two attendees. 🙂 But we each wrote lots of words, and she gave me this cool tracker and stickers to stick on it; then we repaired to the Barnacle Bar with our husbands for post-writing celebratory drinks.
The next write-in is scheduled for Saturday morning, on the inter-island ferry! I’m so totally going.

Oh, you want to know about the novel? It’s Orcas Investigation, book three of the cozy mystery series that my friend Karen and I are collaborating on. My goal is to hand Karen (at least) 50,000 words of terrible first draft on November 30, and then she’ll make it fabulous.
